Color Me Resisting, 2016

Picture
Cover art by Tesh Silver.
In 2016, For the People Artists Collective (FTP) collaborated with the Chicago Childcare Collective (ChiChiCo) again to create Color Me Resisting, a radical coloring book. We selected around 20 campaigns, actions, and efforts that spanned 11 months in 2016.  From numerous "train-takeovers" to locking down major streets, from Freedom Square to RonnieMan Park, Sandra Bland's family's commitment to keep her spirit alive to the fight to get Bresha out of jail - these pages tell stories of loss, love, collective healing & resistance.

This coloring book is also out of print, with over 700 copies sold and hundreds donated to local youth-centered grassroots organizations, we are offering 5 free pages for download to share with the younger people in your lives, or perhaps, yourself!

If you are interested in receiving the full PDF for your organizational use, please email us.
Contributing Artists: Leila Abdelrazaq, Vicko Alvarez Vega, E Armea, Jireh L. Drake, Johannil Napoleon, Ruby Pinto, Kara Rodriguez, Bria Royal, Sarah-Ji, Tesh Silver, Melisa Stephen, Naimah Thomas, Tita Thomas, Monica Trinidad, and Nicole Trinidad.
